The pre-Christmas period is an intense time full of preparation, anticipation, and excitement. To avoid losing sight of the most important things during this time, namely our family relationships, it's worth reaching for a family Advent calendar.
Print out our suggestions for activities to do together while you're waiting for the holidays. They'll allow you to take a break, relax, and be creative, while also strengthening family bonds.

Project 1 - Notes hanging on a branch
Punch a hole in the corner of each cut-out card and then tie a string to it. Use the string to hang the card from a branch, which you then decorate with Christmas tree needles or other holiday decorations. Hang the whole thing on the wall. Each day, your child will have to find the correct number and read the card's message.

Performance 2 - Letters from the Elves
Another idea is to place cards with tasks in small envelopes sent to the children by the "elves." ;) Decorate each envelope with the appropriate December date and then arrange it, for example, on a decorative tray and adorn it with Christmas decorations. The "elves" can also leave these letters for the children by their bedside each night or hide them all at once in various nooks and crannies of the apartment. Finding the elves' envelopes will be extra fun for the little ones.
