Summer kept us guessing for a long time, only to finally present us with a spectacular and rather exhausting finish. How can we survive such weather? What can we do with the kids at home when temperatures are breaking records? Below, you'll find 24 fun ideas perfect for hot days. Water, ice, foam, and mud are surefire favorites that will keep kids occupied for hours! Try our heat-resistant games and enjoy the end of summer.
FLOWER SOUP
A classic and very easy-to-prepare game. All you need is any utensil, such as a bowl or pot, water, and a spoon. The soup ingredients are, of course, up to the little chef. They can use any natural materials for their recipe, such as flowers, leaves, grass, sand, pine cones, sticks, and many others. Various spoons, strainers, colanders, etc. will also make the game more interesting. Finally, of course, there's a mandatory tasting for parents. ;)

CHILLED NON-NETONIC LIQUID
Non-Netonian Fluid is an extraordinary sensory play dough that will surprise your senses. It's a favorite with both children and their parents. If you haven't tried it yet, you absolutely must try it. It's one of the best games for hot weather. You can find the detailed recipe and preparation instructions in a separate post with a video --> Non-Netonian Fluid - Sensory Play for Children
The consistency of the mixture, which resembles a runny icing, pleasantly coats and cools your hands. For an extra cooling effect, it's worth placing the liquid in the refrigerator for 1.5 hours before playing. ;)
PAINTING WITH COLOURED ICE
This is another cooling and addictive activity, and it's incredibly easy to prepare. All you need is a container for ice cubes, Q-tips, and food coloring. You can also use ready-made kits or simply small containers from yogurt or other desserts. Pour the colored water into the containers, place them in the freezer, and leave for about an hour.

TRANSFER STATIONS / TRANSFER STATION
Pour-overs, a classic genre that proves the power of simplicity. Toddlers love playing with water, and one of the simplest activities is learning how to pour water. Young children can spend a lot of time doing this. It's best to start with large-scale play, using large bowls, containers, and watering cans. Later, as their skills grow, move on to smaller vessels that require more precise movements. Large bowls, cups, or ladles are ideal for starting out. You can also add tubes, hoses, and funnels. Such a pour-over station, with tubes, gutters, and funnels, made from cut-down bottles, for example, can be attached to a fence or tree, making play more varied and easier for your little one.
