You can create a charming Easter bunny from a few items found around the house. This is a very simple project that even the youngest children can easily make. The bunny can be a great addition to a room or a festive table.
- Paper cup, white or beige
- A piece of jute for the ears or paper in a suitable color
- String
- Wooden beads
- Pompon
- Black fineliner
- Pink paint or crayon

Step 1 - Painting the rabbit's face
We'll create our rabbit's head from a paper cup. A white or beige cup will best complement the animal's fur, but other colors can also work, such as pastel pink or blue.
First, we need to paint the bunny's face. Using a black fineliner, we draw the eyes, nose, and mouth. To give the bunny a particularly charming face, we need to give it a large blush. We can paint these with pink paint or a crayon, such as a dry pastel.

Step 2 - Adding the tail
In the next step, we glue a pompom to the back of the cup, which will serve as the bunny's tail. Choose a pompom color to match your cup. White or pink will work with white, and brown with beige.

Step 3 - Making bunny legs
Time for the bunny's legs. We'll make them from string, so they can hang playfully from the shelf where we'll place our decoration. First, we punch holes in the front of the cup. Then, we thread the string through both holes and adjust its length. The final step is to thread a wooden bead onto each of the "legs" and secure the strings with a knot.

Step 4 - Glue the ears
Time for the bunny ears. We made them from jute, but you could also create them from colored paper or a sheet of plastic foam. Cut out large ears and glue them to the bottom of the mug. It's a good idea to secure the jute ears around the edges with clear glue to prevent them from unraveling and to make them last longer. You can also secure the top of the "head" with a round piece of cardboard, which you glue to the bottom of the mug, covering the entire bottom, including the tips of the ears.

Step 5 - Decorate the bunny's head
Finally, we can decorate the bunny. Attach some holiday or spring decorations to the top of its head, such as a bow, flowers, or maybe even small foam Easter eggs and chicks.
