Coding Pictures is a simple activity reminiscent of the game "ships." Like the popular game, it's based on a board with a coordinate system. The task is to read the given coordinates, find the corresponding squares on the board, and color them in. At the end, there's a surprise: all the colored squares will form a coherent picture.

This is a great, engaging option for first-grade children and even older preschoolers. A good knowledge of letters and numbers, at least up to 10, is required to play.
