Movement games for children: hip raises
Hip raises are an exercise that strengthens the lower torso . Children lie on their backs on the floor, arms at their sides. Bend their knees and place them on the floor. The exercise involves lifting their hips upwards to form a bridge. Hold this position for 3 to 5 seconds, then lower them down. Repeat several times. Once you feel comfortable with this exercise, you can add shoulder raises. While lifting your hips, you also raise your arms overhead. As you lower your hips, you lower your arms.
