Just a moment away... Christmas! From an adult's perspective, time flies by much faster than from a child's. While we adults have so many pre-holiday responsibilities that we don't know which to tackle first, children are counting down the days, and the wait for Christmas seems like an eternity to them. Here are some ideas on how to organize your children's time before the holidays so that every day feels special and gets the whole family into the holiday spirit!
Christmas markets full of attractions
Christmas markets have become a permanent fixture in the culture of almost all major Polish cities. And that's a good thing, because they're truly fun, atmospheric events that get you into the holiday spirit and offer a wide range of attractions – for both children and adults! You're likely to meet Santa Claus there, buy handmade gifts for the whole family, and savor festive delicacies. Such events are often accompanied by antique-style carousels – combined with atmospheric lighting and a wintry atmosphere, they create a fairytale setting that children will remember for a long time and will brighten up the anticipation of the holidays!

Extraordinary Christmas illuminations
An alternative to Christmas markets is admiring the Christmas illuminations – these days, it's not just the illuminated streets and old towns, although a stroll through a decorated city is also a great idea! In winter, many parks and botanical gardens transform into an enchanted, illuminated land where you can admire illuminated characters and fairytale scenes! A visit to such a place will delight not only the youngest ones!

Time for… snow enthusiasts
We all probably remember that feeling from childhood – the joy mixed with excitement when the first snow of the season fell. Countless opportunities for children to spend their free time open up! Sledding or apple sledding down a hill is one of the most enjoyable and yet easiest activities to organize! Building a snowman together is also a great idea, or perhaps you'd like to try building an igloo? A snowball fight can also bring plenty of excitement. One thing is certain – if it snows, you have to take advantage of this fleeting, beautiful weather – there's no time to waste!

Winter sports
The pre-Christmas period is a great time to instill in your children a love of winter sports. One of them is going ice skating together – the number of ice rinks is constantly growing, so you'll easily find one to suit your needs. Almost everywhere offers skate rentals and… penguin skates, which are a great resource for beginners. Another great winter sport is skiing. You don't have to head to the mountains to learn it. Check where the nearest artificial slope is – it's a good place for beginners and a great introduction before heading out to real mountain descents.

Christmas marathon… of movies!
Man does not live by sport alone! Kids will also appreciate activities organized at home. One idea for the pre-Christmas period is a movie marathon. There are plenty of holiday-themed productions on streaming platforms – including those for young viewers. To create an unforgettable atmosphere, it's worth stocking up on themed snacks: tangerines, gingerbread cookies, or a mug of hot chocolate – in a Christmas mug, of course! If you don't have a Christmas tree yet, it's worth at least lighting the Christmas lights. A movie marathon in this setting will be a unique experience for your child.

Christmas shows
Another way to get into the December spirit and sweeten the anticipation of the holidays is to go to the theater together. Theater always offers a festive atmosphere, a touch of magic, and a unique setting. Everyone should be prepared, wearing elegant attire, and remembering good manners. Christmas performances, including ballets like "The Nutcracker" and "Swan Lake," help you feel the holiday spirit and are long-lasting memories.

Pajama Day, or a day at ease
In the December rush, it's worth finding a moment to relax and enjoy a relaxed day. A suitable wardrobe will help you achieve this, including
comfortable, festive pajamas for the whole family. Once everyone is dressed appropriately and feeling comfortable, it's time for some family fun. Plan a marathon of board games or the tackiest Christmas movies. During the screening, you can create a Christmas popcorn chain. You can also split into teams for a competition for the longest chain. How about dancing to Christmas songs? Another option is to capture your joyful spirit in a family photoshoot with festive accessories. No matter what you do, the most important thing is to simply spend the day together. For more ideas for a family pajama day, check out the article

Preparing for the holidays together
How about combining business with pleasure and involving the little ones in holiday preparations? Simple tasks like decorating gingerbread cookies or decorating the Christmas tree are creative activities that will engage children, make the anticipation of the holidays pass more quickly, and make them feel needed and proud to be involved in adult responsibilities.
