How to Make a Christmas Yarn Garland

Create a simple winter garland with your children that will make a beautiful window or fireplace decoration. All you need is some yarn and a willingness to have fun together.

• Yarn in different colors
• Pompoms in selected colors
• Wooden beads in two sizes (optional)
• Toilet paper roll
• Needle
• Scissors
• Glue

We make mini hats from yarn

From the paper roll, cut a hoop about 1cm wide. Cut the yarn into pieces about 12cm long (adjust the length to fit your hoop). Fold each strand in half and weave it through the hoop, leaving the fibers sticking out from only one edge.

After passing all the strings, we insert them into the center of the edge and pull them out from the other side.

Then we tie it to form a hat. At this stage, you can align and cut the strings to the desired length.

We repeat the production of hats with yarns of other colors.

We make tassels - Christmas trees from yarn

We'll make our yarn Christmas trees in a similar way. This time, we don't need hoops. Fold the yarns in half and tie them all together, tying them in the middle with a single thread—remember to leave room for the garland string. Glue white or red pompoms to the finished tassels.

Add wooden beads or pompoms between each decoration.
