Both boys and girls go through a period of fascination with space and love all things galactic. After all, space travel, flying among the stars, or even to the moon, undoubtedly sounds like a wonderful adventure! If you want to surprise your child, prepare a simple and effective DIY space activity with them. It will surely take you only a few minutes to complete. And a simple mechanism will send your vehicle hurtling into the unknown. Time for some awesome rockets – 3, 2, 1, launch!

DIY space fun - how to make a flying spaceship?
First, start by designing any space vehicle. It could be a rocket, a UFO with aliens, a super-astronaut, or perhaps some other unidentified flying object. It all depends on your imagination. You can also use ready-made, themed templates, familiar from endo t-shirts, which we've prepared especially for you. You can find the templates at the bottom of this post. Draw the design on a piece of paper, preferably a slightly stiffer one, like a drawing pad, or print the finished template (you can also reinforce it by gluing it to a pad or cardboard). Finally, cut everything out and color it.

How to get a rocket going?
The next step is our mechanism, which sets the machine in motion. All we need is a straw and string. Cut two smaller pieces from the straw and attach them to the back of the vehicle using double-sided tape, glue, or a glue gun. Then, thread the measured string or embroidery floss through the straws. Grasp the string halfway and attach it anywhere, such as a chair arm, doorknob, or use a paper clip. Our cosmic fun is ready!

3, 2, 1… let's launch!
It's time for some fun. Simply grab the two ends of the string and pull them apart in opposite directions. You'll then see your vehicle rise upward. The faster you pull the strings, the faster your rocket will reach the finish line.
