  • red and green crepe paper
  • wooden sticks, e.g. for skewers
  • thread
  • glue
  • scissors
  • scissors with a decorative blade

Step 1

Cut a strip of red crepe paper approximately 8 cm wide. Use decorative, wavy-cut scissors.

Step 2

Without unwinding the strip, cut one edge of it for approximately 1.5 cm.

Step 3

We unroll a strip of crepe paper, preparing it to form a carnation.

Step 4

Shape the flower by wrapping it around a wooden stick. Make sure the part near the stick is tightly pressed together, while the top part spreads freely into a beautiful flower.

Step 5

We tie some of the petals around the stick with thread and secure them with glue.

Step 6

Cut a strip of approximately 3 cm from the green crepe paper.

Step 7

We wrap a strip of crepe paper around the tip of the flower and then guide it along the stick, simultaneously gluing the tissue paper with glue.

Step 8

If we want a bouquet full of carnations, we create additional flowers according to the same pattern.
