Spiders aren't as scary as some people think. Don't know how to draw a spider? Our cheerful friend with a black, hairy body and eight long legs has graced many Endo T-shirts. Watch how our artist Paweł Cwalina brings him to life and try creating a similar illustration with your child.
How to draw a spider step by step
- Hairy body . Dip a large brush in black paint and flatten it repeatedly on a white sheet of paper, creating the spider's "hairy" body. The size of this amazing creature depends on your imagination and courage!
- Let it stare at us . Cut out eyes from orange paper – the more, the scarier. We chose a spider with eight eyes so it could clearly see around for flies. Use a black marker to draw the pupils.
- Spider teeth . Small triangular fangs cut out of white paper will create our little one's smile.
- A long-legged spider . Finally, quickly draw four pairs of spider legs with a marker, two on each side, so our friend can quickly run along the web. Done!
Our suggestion can be a starting point for further creations. If you're up for it and have a bit of imagination, we recommend staging a spider's environment, but wait, where does it live? In the forest, indoors, or maybe... look for it around the house; you might learn more!
