The vibrant colors of autumn stimulate our senses, soothe us, and put us in a unique mood. Ubiquitous in their various colors, shapes, sizes, and textures, leaves delight our eyes and spark our imagination. How can you use autumn leaves for playtime with your child? An original bouquet, wreath, or crown of leaves – these are just a few of the possibilities. Create creative arrangements together and enjoy autumn for as long as possible.

Painting autumn leaves is a simple, classic activity that many people surely remember from their childhood. It's worth maintaining this lovely tradition. Autumn leaves are a very rewarding artistic medium. Simply add paints or colored markers, and in just a few moments, you can create true autumn works of art.
What's more, we combine business with pleasure, as collecting the most beautiful specimens requires a walk. So, we have physical activity, autumn inspiration, creative activity, and family time together in nature, all rolled into one.

Autumn leaf crown - how to prepare?
- Colorful leaves, e.g. maple
- Markers or paints
- A narrow strip of construction paper or wrapping paper
- Glue or double-sided tape
- Scissors

Precede the activity with a walk to a nearby park or a trip to the forest to gather the necessary materials. Look for leaves in their fabulous autumn colors. You can, as we did, limit yourself to leaves from a single tree species or collect leaves in a variety of shapes. On a warm autumn day, the entire activity can easily be carried out outdoors.

It's time to decorate. We can decorate the leaves for the autumn crown with markers, special markers, pastels, or paints. Markers are, of course, the best choice for outdoor use. We can create geometric patterns, dots, stripes, or trace the veins of the leaves. If you choose paints, you can also stipple the leaves by snapping the bristles with your finger. Even toddlers can handle this task.

We can use leaves decorated according to our own design for a crown to create a simple bouquet or garland (simply attach the hanging leaves to string or fishing line). Another option is a beautiful autumn leaf crown. Adult support is essential for this. We need a narrow strip of construction paper or wrapping paper, the length of which corresponds to the circumference of the child's head. This will serve as a base to which we can quickly attach the previously painted leaves, for example, using double-sided tape.

Once our autumn leaf crown decoration is ready, it's time to crown your child. It can be a useful prop for further play and the beginning of a new forest adventure. Ruler of the forest, queen of autumn? It all depends on your imagination.

Autumn leaf wreath - how to prepare?
- Colorful leaves, e.g. maple
- Markers or paints
- A piece of cardboard or paperboard
- Pencil, compass or bowls for tracing the circle
- Glue or double-sided tape
- Scissors or paper cutter

Now it's time to attach the painted leaves. You can use regular glue, hot glue, or double-sided tape. To finish creating your autumn crown, simply add some string for hanging the decoration. The wreath can be a beautiful autumn accent in any interior, on the door of a room, or even in your home.
