How to make carnival masks for children?
Making a carnival mask for kids is a great starting point for fun together . If you don't want to make a carnival mask from scratch, use our ready-made templates!
1. Print any mask and then cut it out. If you want it to be more durable or stiffer, print it on thicker paper or back it with a piece of construction paper. Glue the printed mask to the paper and then cut out the outline again.
2. Now it's time to make the strap. The mask can be worn directly on the face – simply attach a piece of elastic band. Punch small holes in the paper, thread the elastic through, tie it, and you're done, or secure it with a stapler. You can also use ribbon or string, but elastic bands work best. You can find them at a haberdashery or craft store.
You can also hold the mask in your hand, just like at traditional balls. Attach it to any stick. Ideally, you can use skewers, wooden spatulas, disposable sushi chopsticks, or simply straws. You can decorate the stick or wrap it in crepe paper, for example, and then attach it to the mask using hot glue, magic glue, or double-sided tape.
During carnival, a ball is a must, so you can't go anywhere without a mask!
